Compositions are not for consumption.

In the vain hope that I may be able to salvage some of what I write, and that maybe somebody may read it someday somewhere, I have finally started a blog. You can't crumple up a blog and throw it in the waste basket, you certainly can't shove it in your mouth and chew it up and swallow it, and you can't tear it into tiny little pieces. You can delete it, but that's not quite as fun and its a touch too brusque for my tastes. So this is a little insurance against myself so to speak. It wasn't my idea. There is someone out there to blame, but I'll protect their identity. What can you blame them for exactly? Well, peace in the blog world as we know it. We'll be starting out with some full-scale blog warfare... specifically in retaliation to my good friend Brandon Robison's post on "selfishness as a virtue" which you can read here : http://brandonrobison.net/2008/10/29/the-next-debate/#comments. He elaborates on the subject in other posts, and feel free to browse, he has some other unique (i.e. mormon, libertarian, computer geek, very bad taste in music as a result of severe exposure to vapid Japanese pop) points of view. Hi Brandon! Other things to look forward to: Smutty Vietnamese restaurant names, reviews of food produced by those self-same smutty Vietnamese and other ethnic groups, book lists and reviews of various sorts, and whatever keeps me at this keyboard without a hard copy to destroy later.
Love,
Kirsten

I am glad that you're taking on Brandon. He has enjoyed an undeserved monopoly in the blog world. (At least as far as I am concerned, because he is the only person I know who actually has and updates a blog.)
