I'm crying.

I found this little project.

I don't know if anybody else has had trouble really understanding the israel/palestine conflict and putting it into perspective and all, but I have. I found this website that has documentaries of some of the people in two towns along the border, and thought it was pretty interesting.
So.
There.

And some other cool stuff some day. Some day. Check out Latrigue.
Ta!
Curse ten.

Seriously.

I'm sorry.  I'll get to it.  The worst part is that I have a lot of finished pieces, I just have yet to type them up.  You're probably all gone anyway.  Well, Happy Belated Obama Day!  I love you.  Here's a list of what I'm reading if anyone is interested or wants to tell me what I should abandon out of the following:
The Magus by John Fowles
The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov
The Road and Blood Meridian both by Cormac McCarthy
Yeah.
Thanks.

Ta,
Kirsten

My very favorite literary theme.

Devastation!
I just picked up a few books as a gift for someone, and was giving him my little summations of each one as I pulled them from the bag... 'This one is just devastating... so is this one... oh this one isn't so bad, it's a love story..." and as I say that last little bit he scans the back and at the point of his long finger... lo and behold... promised devastation. Alright fine. Maybe that one is devastating too. Today at home, I pick up the new novel I bought myself (although I'm in the middle of a few others, just the way I do things) and I break my usual self-prescribed ban on back cover reading and see, "a devastating new novel." You would think it would end there, but now I'm getting a little freaked out, so I pick up the other book that I started a few days earlier and examine the jacket... no devastation so far... and then at the end of the paragraph... "in the face of total devastation." Well, I guess we now know why I'm so much damn fun at parties!

To my one reader - I'm sure you understand

Hi Nicole!
The semester is coming to a close, and soon enough I won't have anything better to do than this. I loves you.
PS - can I get a puppy?

Damn it!

I half hate that I just saw this: http://www.mcsweeneys.net/2008/11/20tucker.html. I hate when that happens, I had my article first! Anyway. I like how it ties into this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I0QN-FYkpw. That's a present for Brandon, he'll like it. Oh, and this too: http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2008/11/hear_peter_schiff_is_warning_y.html. I know you'll delight in both, since Peter Schiff is a libertarian who worships the Austrian school. Thanks to Seth for sharing the last two with me.

And this was just interesting.

I was reading an article in the New York times the other day:
"Studies show that the women selected to be Playboy Playmates of the Year tend to look more mature during recessions- older, heavier, more reassuring."
I think I wish I didn't know that.
